A big thing for me lately is anxiety when I feel a tiny Meniere’s symptom start. What probably was nothing most of the time turns into me feeling worse or taking half a Valium, which is not good all the time. Stress is not good for a Meniere’s patient. I try to remember that God is in control and no matter what he will take care of me. Found this to be very helpful. Hope it helps you.
“Rest in the Deep Assurance”
from http://www.faithgateway.com
From Jesus Calling by Sarah Young. After many years of writing in her prayer journal, missionary Sarah Young decided to listen to God with pen in hand, writing down whatever she believed He was saying to her. She knew her writings were not inspired as Scripture is, but journaling helped her grow closer to God. They are written from Jesus’ point of view, and it is Sarah’s fervent prayer that our Savior may bless readers with His presence and His peace in ever deeper measure.
Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you. — 1 Peter 5:7
REST in the deep assurance of My unfailing Love. Let your body, mind, and spirit relax in My Presence. Release into My care anything that is troubling you, so that you can focus your full attention on Me. Be awed by the vast dimensions of My Love for you: wider, longer, higher, and deeper than anything you know. Rejoice that this marvelous Love is yours forever!
The best response to this glorious gift is a life steeped in thankfulness.
Every time you thank Me, you acknowledge that I am your Lord and Provider. This is the proper stance for a child of God: receiving with thanksgiving. Bring Me the sacrifice of gratitude, and watch to see how much I bless you.
