Cast Your Cares on Him

No matter what Meniere’s or life throw at you, take comfort knowing God will help you through it. He has helped me so many times when I thought this disease was just to take over my life. God gave me peace & assurance that everything will be ok & he does not lie. With this new year take a moment to thank God for the good things in your life & ask him to help you with the other areas that need help. In time everything will smooth out & you too can have peace because God will never turn his back on you.

Here is a little something I found at

But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. — Isaiah 40:31

There is good reason for my solid hope in Christ, because You, Father, will heal all my weaknesses through Him, who sits at Your right hand and intercedes for us. If it were not so, I would despair, for my many weaknesses are severe; but even more severe is Your healing power.

We would be in despair if we thought that You were far from us, and if Your Word had not become flesh and lived among us.

I was once filled with terror by my sins and burdened with misery and was turning over in my mind a plan to flee into solitude; but You forbade me and strengthened me by Your words:

For this purpose Christ died for all, that they who are alive might not live for themselves but for Him who died for them. — 2 Corinthians 5:15

I cast my care upon You, Lord, so that I may live, and “I will contemplate the wonders you have revealed” (Psalm 40:5). You know how stupid and weak I am: teach me and heal me.

Your only Son, “in whom are hidden all treasures of wisdom and knowledge” (Colossians 2:3), has redeemed me with His blood. “Let not the proud disparage me” (Psalm 123:4), for I am mindful of my ransom. I eat it, I drink it, I dispense it to others, and as a poor man I long to be filled with it with those who are fed. And then, “let those who seek Him praise the Lord” (Psalm 22:26).

-Augustine (AD 354 – 430) was the bishop of Hippo in Algeria and a prolific theological and philosophical writer. He had a dramatic conversion at age thirty-two, and he is best known for his Confessions, City of God, and On the Trinity.
